What Is Global Sources Hong Kong

Global Sources Hong Kong is one of the world’s largest B2B electronics trade shows. It is held annually at the AsiaWorld-Expo complex in Hong Kong across more than 70,000 square meters.

The event traditionally takes place in two phases and brings together thousands of professional buyers, distributors, and OEM/ODM manufacturers from around the world. It covers more than 26 product categories, including advanced AI devices, mobile gadgets, automotive electronics, smart home solutions, as well as computer accessories and gaming products. 

For businesses, the Global Sources Hong Kong expo is a key place to source products directly from Asia. It allows brands and retailers to evaluate the quality of new products in person, find OEM/ODM factories for private labeling, and discuss contract terms, prices, and minimum order quantities on site.

What Does the Best Booth Award Recognize

The Global Sources Best of Show Awards recognize the strongest participants across both phases of the Hong Kong shows. Among the seven awards are the top Best of Show places and four Outstanding Performance Awards, including one for booth design.

Only custom-built booths are eligible to participate, so the competition compares original designs rather than standard booth structures.

The evaluation starts on the first day of each phase, and the panel of judges includes a representative from the Hong Kong Design Institute. Booth design makes up a quarter of the total score. Judges consider visual impact, layout, lighting, how well the design reflects the brand, and construction quality. The remaining points cover product displays, sustainability, and visitor engagement. In other words, a booth needs to look good and work well as a business space.
